End of the decade

On December 31, the next period of history will end. During this time, everything changed.
The greatest music stars such as Aretha Franklin and Roxette have left this world. At the same time, we were blessed with more musical talents, such as Jorja Smith, Ella Mai and H.E.R.
Much more animal species are on the verge of disappearance. An example is vaquita or Gulf of California porpoise.
We abandoned the solarium for good, from which we were leaving looking like greaves and destroying our skin. Plucking eyebrows went into oblivion as well.
People finally began to educate themselves in the field of ecology, and politicians are slowly countering global warming.

As for myself, I learned patience and peace of mind. I started to attend yoga classes regularly to calm down and relax. I stopped analyzing everything, but I didn't stop thinking. I met the most wonderful people I could have dreamed of and I manage to maintain friendship with them. I began to understand my parents and eliminated the intergenerational barrier.

There are still a lot of things that I need to work on and I hope to be able to meet my next goals in the coming years. We, as humanity, also have something to focus on. And of course, I'm talking about a campaign of empathy, tolerance and mutual understanding.

I hope that the next years will bring more good and light to our lives.

3 things I'm bad at

1. Making popcorn

Literally, every attempt is a failure. Although I read the instructions carefully before inserting into the microwave (sometimes even twice), I will never set the right time and power. I have wondered many times how can I be so hopeless in such a banal activity. Of course, this is the first thing that came to my mind because I just made the same mistake again. I will probably burn this house someday...

2. Taking care of my plants

I love to surround myself with greenery (once I even painted the walls of my room that color). Our surroundings are more beautiful, lively and the oxygen content produced by our friends is higher. However, despite all my efforts, none of the plants can stay with me for longer. At some point they need a curative leave under my mother's watchful eye.

3. Treating my addiction to Bridget Jones

Some addictions go on from generation to generation. And so it is in that case, because both me and my mother love Bridget, a true-born English woman. We must watch the first two parts of her adventures at least twice a year - without it the year is not complete! We also have a weak spot for Mark Darcy, but who hasn't...

The cult of being sweet

Am I the only person tired of the constant trials of people trying to be cute?
K-pop stars have become fashionable, with a perfect complexion, cute, powdered faces, short skirts and a smile painted on their lips. Just try to breathe and they are already kawaii.
In the current world there is no place for non-ideality, a bit sloppy and uncoordinated outfit. Everyone must be beautiful and look like the best version of themselfs in a million photos taken in the same day.Everyone also wants to be alternative, so they create a picture of this concept and blend in with it.
Either you are sweet and you wear beige or other subdued colors or you are alternative and put on turtlenecks and t-shirts with mum jeans. Because it's sooo alternative.
There is no place for individuality anymore, because it is simply out of fashion.
I miss the times when no one was worried about appearance and t-shirts with funny prints were the trend of the season.

The need to possess

I stand behind a long, white, just cleaned gloss counter in the store and look at people entering through the front door. I am able to see how fast a spark appears in the eye and saliva almost drips from the half-open mouth. Hands automatically stretch out to grab, catch, hold.
How pathetic that is.
A constant desire to own and control the next things turned our entire civilization into vultures that only espy their next prey. And yet it is only an object that will fall apart, destroy, turn into dust.
Is possession so important? What does it change? Provides a very fleeting moment of happiness? This feeling is very illusory. It will pass as soon as we get used to the object. We find ourselves surrounded by a pile of greed.
Materiality does not bring real pleasure - it is better to spend money on memories.
Yoga course in India, pasta eaten opposite the Colosseum, diving in search of coral reefs.
I want to wake up equipped with such a things.

Is karma a bitch?

Karma is a term that has already become a permanent feature in the dictionary of most people. This philosophy of life, which originated in t...
